Top quality, fantastic steak. Home made egg rolls. Did I mention an interesting and varied menu? Vietnamese style hand rolled egg rolls, pizza, steak. Chinese style crab as well. Tenderloin was well above par!
A nice restaurant downtown near the Ohio River. I stay in Marietta regularly driving from central Virginia to Michigan and stay at the Lafayette Hotel on Front Street right on the Ohio River. Austyn’s is right across from the hotel. You have to drive out the road to get to the standard fast food restaurants and they are, well, just fast food restaurants. I used to eat at the restaurant at the hotel and then switched to the Marietta Brewery a couple blocks down the street. But this Sunday early evening I had NY strip steak and a beer at Austyn’s for $22 plus a $5 tip. A nice house salad with real lettuce and rolls and some very nicely prepared fresh vegetables came with the dinner. It was very tasty and filled me up since I had not had lunch since I was on the road. I would rate it an 8 out of 10. I was very pleased. There were other customers at 6 pm but the service was prompt and friendly enough. I could tell from exchanges with other customers that the waitstaff was flexible in its willingness to chat and be friendly depending on the desire of the customer.

Thankfully, I was wrong to be concerned. The food was very good in both presentation and taste. Although there dinner menu is pricey, the lunch menu was very affordable. I would definitely go back.
