Blacksmith Tavern & Grill. I just went to this resturaunt last evening(4/13/12), and the service was hands down the WORST service I have ever had in my life. I would understand not seeing a hostess or waitress for a few minutes is understandable. But there were literally 4 tables full in the entire resturaunt. After finally being seated, we waited 15 minutes for the menus, because no one knew which waitress would get our table. After the 4th waitress finally took our order, we waited about a half hour for the food. I ordered the ribs, and my husband ordered the wings. The wings and the Jalepeno coleslaw were DELICOUS, but my ribs were burnt, and tasted terrible. I will only be ordering their wings TO GO, from now on, and am really hoping that will be a better experience. If you plan on eating here, definitely make sure you will have at least an hour to spend waiting.

I went in on a Sunday to watch football and they wouldn’t turn a game on the big middle screen, instead they showed infomercial on cleaning dogs teeth! Management seems to have no clue!
Inconsistent!. At Blacksmith’s prior location next to Marietta College, I thought that they truly had the best BBQ in the valley. Sad to say that their ability to consistently make quality food did not come with them to their new location. Some meals have been great tasting, quality meals as is expected from Blacksmith. Other times you go there and the quality of the meal is severely lacking. You shouldn’t need to carry a chainsaw in with you to cut the meat, and then have to fight with the waitress in order to have a new meal cooked. I am hopeful they can fix their quality issues soon, but I won’t be eating here anytime in the near future.

My wife and I both completely love this place! Blacksmith Barbecue actually serves the best barbecue I have had since living in the MOV for the past 12 years! They offer two different types of ribs, pulled pork, brisket, great sides, and it’s all at really affordable prices. The building is small and easy to miss, the the food is to die for. It is always prepared fresh to order and the staff genuinely cares about your experience. I absolutely reccommend this restaurant with no reservations. Enjoy!
