Excellent Food & Coldest Beer Around. I have usually had the ribs when I’ve eaten here but decided to try some of the burgers and other menu items and I have never walked away from the Boathouse BBQ disappointed or hungry. The food is really good and this place has the coldest beer that I have ever had anywhere, in fact, there is usually ice forming on the top of it which is how beer should be. On Sundays, the place is usually a pretty busy place but we’ve never had an excessive wait time.
My wife and I went to the Boathouse for lunch. When our food came to the table her food was cold. By the time the food was sent back and returned 20-30 minutes later, her food was still cold. Although we were not charged for her meal, we will not be returning.
Bad Service, Bad Value. I love BBQ so a friend and I had lunch at Boathouse BBQ because I had never been there before. It was nice sitting outside on the river in the sun and all, b we had to wait FOREVER to get our food. The waitress rarely came over and when I asked for a beer list, she said to just get up and go in to see what beers there were, so I did, and then i had to track her down to let her know which one I wanted, then I had to wait forever for her to bring it. The food was ok, but I mean just ok given that I spent over $50 after tip for a lunch that took forever with bad service for two people. Next time i am craving BBQ I will swing by Bar-B-Cutie’s in Marietta because it’s fast and the ribs are much better (and cheaper). I joked to my friend on the way out that I think I had a birthday while I was there, but it reality I wasn’t feeling jovial because I felt my lunch with my friend was botched. I’m not surprised because it’s owned by the same people that owned River City, and that place had the same problems. I wont be back.
The wings are decent, but I’ve had better service at McDonalds. I wouldn’t advise to bring in your family.
