GRANDE beer, great service, great prices, great food!!. The waiter didn’t correctly understand my order, but corrected it and the corrected meal was brought out in about 7 minutes. Very friendly staff. Chips and salsa were great…the grande beers were GRANDE!! Great atmosphere, great service, great prices, great food!!
Great Family Resturaunt.. I love when my husband and I take our family here. The service is not only fast, but they treat everyone as if they’re all friends. The service is VERY fast; the longest I’ve ever had to wait was about 10 minutes because it was Prom night. The food is also delicious. Everything I’ve tried is wonderful, and I always look forward to going again.
Very fast service, but the food isn’t up to par. I got the steak fajitas, and when I got it the steak was over cooked and wasn’t seasoned at all. If you want Mexican food in Marietta go to Tampicos.
Good food, speedy service!. I got the #10(1 enchilada and 1 taco with rice and beans). It was very good and came out really quick for a crowded restaurant on a Friday night. The waiter was very nice and refilled drinks and chips/salsa as needed. Prices were the usual. This is a very good restaurant!
Consistently Good: Las Trancas. Each of Marietta’s two Mexican restaurants has its fans, but we’ve always preferred Las Trancas. It’s consistently good, and it is without a doubt the fastest eating establishment in town. Your food is brought with aplomb and dizzying speed by the friendly, even affectionate waiters, who encourage our high-school level Spanish with rapid-fire conversation. Seriously, if you’ve got a movie to catch, you can get in and out of there in a half hour, and eat very well. I’ve got three favorite dishes there: Tacos de carne asada, pork carnitas and a newer entree, tacos de pescado (fish tacos). All are excellent, and characterized by their trademark fresh salsa, loaded with cilantro, piquant and perfect (Dunno why some people don’t like it; maybe they aren’t cilantro fans, or prefer a cooked salsa??) Clean surroundings, decent lighting, friendly, responsive, fast wait staff and good, consistent food…there is much to recommend Las Trancas. We’re regulars.
Go with Tampico’s instead…. If you want Mexican, Tampico’s is the way to go. Although I like the atmosphere of Las Trancas better,that’s all they have going for them. Their salsa is much too spicy for the average and their food isn’t the greatest. When in Marietta, I’d go with Tampico’s instead.
Give It A Try!. If you thought Tampico was good (which, it is), try this. You won’t be disappointed. I’d venture to say that Las Trancas may be a little bit better than Tampico; however, they could improve their salsa dip. Regardless, this is a great place for great Mexican food.
