Admit was worried about reviews, but our waitress was attentive, and the food was good. Husband had pork loin braised with coca cola sauce, I had pecan crusted trout. The food is not zesty or highly spiced, but it WAS good. Pork pot stickers were very good. In beautiful location right on river walk, overlooking the Ohio River. Watched sun go down over river. Definitely recommend a visit.

Wonderful. We discovered this restaurant last year and just love it. The burgers are the best in the area. The waitresses are well trained and very attentive. The owners are super-friendly and love to make sure that their customers are happy. The other reviewer that complained about the chef/owner asking if he was still in the dining room didn’t realize the ornery sense of humor that the chef has. If the reviewer is ever back in Marietta again, please give them another try. It’s a truly wonderful place to dine.

Been OK. Been there twice, It’s good for sure. It’s not the best meal I ever had, but it’s good for Marietta, and surroundings are pleasant and clean.

Food needs work.. The Levee house has a charming and cozy setting, friendly owners, and the menu is genuinely creative. The food just needs work. We had Mother’s Day lunch there today and we left with full plates. I had Shrimp Diablo, and it tasted sugary, not spicy, with very little else but pasta. The shrimp in it were tasty though. My fiance had Portabello Mushroom Ravioli. It was unseasoned. My mum had the Almond Trout. Good fish, but a tad too sweet as well. The vegetables needed some thought. As a locally owed bistro, a side of vegetables should not the the usual steamed carrots and friends. Just cut up some carrots and such, and roast those suckers! They would have a broad appeal and are easy to do. Also, I would have liked the option for a side salad. The waitstaff was nice enough, but not extremely attentive. I was disappointed that the sugary pasta was not taken off my bill when i told the server of my feelings and barely ate it. To sum it up, this place does have potential, and it is cute. The food just needs some execution. Like, Shrimp Diablo should be spicy… and do something with fresh cut herbs to add some color….I have tried lovely things before such as the olive tapenade, so all hope is not lost, they just need a bit more execution.

Great Food & Atmosphere. This is the hidden gem of Marietta in my opinion. The burgers are perfectly cooked and downright delicious. Great quiet atmosphere too with nice seating along the side of the building if you want to take in the beautiful scenery of the Ohio River. Will most definitely be back again!

A Fabulous Lunch!. During my annual holiday shopping day in Marietta, I decided to finally go to the Levee House Cafe for lunch. Was there before, but that was 10 years ago as a photographer for a local newspaper to take pictures, and had no time for a meal. I’ve known people who have worked there, have heard of its good food, and stopped by several times, but on every occasion, the place was either so crowded that I didn’t want to wait, or they were closed.Am I glad I tried again! Today’s special was a Rachel sandwich, with a pasta salad instead of chips. As a person who knows their way around a kitchen, what I was served today was prepared in the way I would have made it for myself, my family, and guests. The bread was perfectly pan-toasted, the slaw was spot on, and the side salad of farfalle pasta was absolutely delicious. Hope no one was looking, as I brought the salad cup up to my mouth to down the last of the dressing. Awesome! My waitress was attentive, my unsweetened ice tea was perfectly brewed, and my table was clean and tidy. I will be back for more!

Tourist. Atmosphere and people were great. Food presentation is great, but if you are used to seasoning your food you will be disappointed. I couldn’t finish my salad because the chicken had no taste. I’m curious why the chicken wasn’t marinated first.
