Excellent food, small menu. Service is horribly slow. Took 1 hr to get appetizers in a 1/3 full restaurant at 1pm in afternoon. Owner is extremely kind, but the prices are fully priced compared to other Korean restaurants, which doesn’t allow for much patience on the wait, or the small size of the $14 bibimbop. Been there 3 tines, so I’ve given it a fair shot, but unfortunately won’t be back. They have a chance at making this a hidden gem, but for now it is simply a rare West side Korean restaurant underachieving compared to competition around town.
Seoul, Ohio. Go here. Immediately. If you’ve never had Korean before this is a good spot for your first try. The place is in a strip mall and we almost missed it because their sign is rather small. It’s right next to Kmart.When you walk in you’ll see the sign to seat yourself. It’s a small place with the option to sit on the floor Korean style or in booths.My knees dictate I sit at a booth.Our server was the owner’s daughter and she was more than happy to explain anything on the menu. I love Korean food so I was fairly familiar. Drinks are Pepsi products, hot teas, Korean beers (I only saw OB, no Hite) and Soju.We started with Mandu (dumplings). I had Bibimbap and hubs had Bulgogi. You are given 8 dishes of traditional Korean side dishes including homemade kimchi. KIMCHI!!!Both the owner (the cook herself!) and her husband came out to ensure we were happy and enjoyed our meal. We were offered more sides. Wonderful people who care about your Korean food experience.I may never get to South Korea like I want to, but I sure can travel easily to Harrison!! Get to Kim’s now! kamsahamnida!
Awesome Place For Korean. Stopped in with my eighteen year old son and enjoyed the chicken and pork dishes from the menu items #3 & #4. Excellent spicing and very tasty sides. Go there if you like spicy cuisine. The husband and wife team were fantastic!
Authentic. I lived in Korea for a year in the Army. She makes her own kimchi & we were blessed with 3 different kinds. The beef bulgogi was my favorite. The chicken bulgogi & the yakimandoo were also table favorites. We were served 8 small side dishes to compliment a very traditional Korean experience. Enjoy.
A wonderful meal. As other reviewers have noted, this place is worth the drive out to Harrison. The Korean dishes served with the main course blew the pants off of the stuff at Riverside in Covington, our normal go-to Korean restaurant. Wonderful kim-chee. The main dishes were very tasty as well. Owner was very friendly. Would definitely go back.
Family owned and AMAZING. This place is fantastic. The family that owns it is amazingly sweet. They really want you to enjoy your meal, evidenced by the fantastic service and delicious menu. I will go to this restaurant every time I’m in this area of the state. If you haven’t eaten here, you really need to.
