Velvet Smoke BBQ is quite simply the best bbq in the city (yes better than Eli’s-trust me on this)! No longer at Findlay Market, we finally made it out to their location in Harrison. Well worth the drive in my opinion. If your a fan of smoked beef then Velvet is the place. We shared a Judge’s Plate, a sampler of chicken, ribs, pork, brisket, and three sides. Excellent brisket and burnt ends (tip-ask for the fatty end). All the meats were very good but the ribs were also a highlight along with the Mac & Cheese and Southwest Corn Salad. Next visit we are trying the smoked chicken wings. A gentleman next to us had a basket and said they were fantastic. Enjoy!

Never have anything !. This place is so unorganised. Stays open til 5pm today. But at noon out of ribs, out of rib tips, out of mac n cheese…etc etc. No matter when you order they are always out of something. Last order was at 11am, they opened at 10am and they were out of food. Seriously doubt they got that many orders that early. Joke management .
Wonderful BBQ. The first time trying it I had a small portion of the pulled pork with the hot BBQ sauce, and decided shortly there after that the brisket would be included on my tasting menu. You won’t be disappointed with a meal here.
Unreal!! Best ever BBQ
Delicious. I love Eli’s, but Velvet Smoke is substantially better. Their brisket is fantastic, as are their ribs and slaw.
Competition Quality BBQ. Cincinnati finally has competition level BBQ that you don’t have to be a judge to try. This is the real deal folks and it’s definitely worth a weekend trip to Findlay Market to try their smokey pulled pork and tender beef brisket. Only BBQ in town that rates a Cincy Hound five paw rating. This is not a compensated endorsement, but if they offered me a free sandwich, I wouldn’t turn it down. 🙂
