My Favorite Place to Eat!. The Buffet is awesome and has a wide variety of dishes to try. I love the Tikka Masala here. The restaurant experience here is the reason I come back, the best service I’ve ever had at a restaurant.
Yum!. I’ve been for the buffet several times. It is wonderful. Also the service is reslly great! It is boyh kind and unobtrusive! 🙂 Grrat place to go and catch up with friends and est hreat food.
Never again.. I should preface this review by saying that I have been eating Indian food for over 20 years, since I first tried it at the Columbus North Market on a high school field trip. I have been studying Indian culture in graduate school for over 8 years now, and I have spent over a year living in North India. I am saying that I know Indian food; I love Indian foodand until tonight I considered the food at Taste of India to be the best available in the Heath/Newark area. Tonight, however, changed all that. I ordered my usual dishkardai paneerwhich I have eaten hundreds of times, both in the US and India. This dish, however, did not come close to even resembling kardai paneer (or ANY Indian dish, for that matter!). The most telling characteristic was that the sauce was obviously thickened with corn starch! I understand that this is a common practice in Chinese food, but the only place for corn starch in North Indian cuisine is when its used to bread pakora! Furthermore, the dish actually TASTED like a Chinese sweet and sour dish! It was disgusting! And, beyond that, the paneer was virtually raw and had obviously not been sauted at all. Whoever cooked this either 1) had absolutely no idea what they were doing, or (more likely) 2) was cutting corners in a way that corners were never, ever meant to be cut! The cook should be embarrassed, and the owner should be mortified.Just this week a family member had said that they wanted to try Taste of India. I actually (at the time) recommended it highly. I have already rescinded that recommendation, and I, myself, will never, ever be returning.
YUMMY INDIAN FOOD. You have to try this place out…..I have been there a few times in the past and you will like the food, the prices and how well the staff treats you when you come in. No more need to drive into Columbus just to find Indian cuisine…..you can find it closer to home now.
Flavorful Indian food hidden in Heath!. We were pleasantly surprised to find such great food at the Heath Econolodge. They have a great variety of appetizers and entrees, made with fresh ingredients and authentic seasonings. Interior is comfortable and nicely decorated, owner and staff are pleasant and courteous.
The lunch buffet is a great way to step out of your comfort zone and try something new. I sampled everything and wasn’t disappointed. I would drive out of my way to come here again.
