  Business Trip Adventure. I did not expect Michael’s to be as good as it was! It was amazing. The pasta buffet was out of this world. The salad’s were not the best but the soups were great. The best part was the pasta buffett. I had clams, shrimps, garlic, spices and spinach on a vodka sauce with fresh grated parmesan cheese on top that I almost died for it was that good!. A definite surprise at the Holiday Inn! independence.

  Disappointed. We have been coming here for a number of years. I have to say the service has gone down hill. Our server was inexperienced. He was not sure of the menu items or what wines where offered. We only needed two place setting but they left the other settings on the table after we were seated. Only when they needed them to reset other tables did the extra settings get removed. The server did take our order, Salads arrived and rolls but had to ask for bread plates. We had two different steak meals that were good. They serve the same multi colored green beans every time. No selection or imagination. The one potato was over cooked and dry. Our server disappeared for a long time. Only after we asked for check did we get refills of water and soda.Most likely wont be returning.. It is too far to drive. Better places closer by. ,.We observed at another table a gentlemen of retirement age sat the whole meal with a baseball cap on and had his elbows on the table most of the time. It was a party of six. His wife or companion should have said something. Most people remove there hat indoors still. This is a nice hotel restaurant that is more upscale.

  Food was average. Service was poor. Met an out of town business associate and was embarrassed to have relied on the hotel restaurant.

  Substantially above the average hotel restaurant, and completely unexpected given that it’s in a Holiday Inn. The seafood bisque had a dollop of crabnin the middle. The salad came with ranch dressing made on site. The important thing, however, was that the chef understood what a rare steak is. This knowledge is apparently uncommon across this country. This chef got it right. Now, they could take the butter up a notch, but that’s not all that big a deal anyway.
