Much like some of the other reviews, even though the restaurant looks more upscale than a normal Bob Evans, the food quality is about the same. I had the Bruled Banana oatmeal. I liked the fact that the brown sugar came on the side so I could add as much as I wanted. It had a really good flavor that reminded me of Banana Foster. The only time I think of coming here is when I am shopping at The Greene. I would not rave about it to my friends but it’s a nice breakfast spot instead of doing the fast food thing.

Meh.. Location is so-so. We didn’t have to park *that* far away from the restaurant, like you do for some of the other Greene eateries. The menu is the same for lunch and dinner, and it’s pretty massive and diverse. It was too cold to order a salad, so I ordered the lunch portion of Chicken Piccata and subbed the asparagus with steamed broccoli and carrots. The chicken itself – although very small – was good, but the sauce was mostly soaked up by the mushrooms on top, and not the chicken. The mashed potatoes were almost bone dry, and the broccoli and carrot mix was barely cooked, and still crunchy. If it weren’t a business lunch, I would have either sent the food back or insist that it was taken off my bill. The service was unimpressive. Not terrible, not great. No one was overly friendly. Both of the gals I was with ordered hot tea, and our server kept taking the tea caddy to other tables because they didn’t have enough of them. We weren’t asked if we wanted dessert – which we pretty clearly did, since we needed the table for a while longer and had been looking at the dessert menu. And for what it’s worth. I think their prices are outrageous. it was at least $10-15 per person for lunch, beverages not included. I’d never take a client here, when you can get a really nice lunch for $7.50 at Pacchia.
It’s pretty good. I like the Fit Menu because it has calories. Most of it is good, but sometimes isn’t warm enough. The waitresess aren’t that helpful.
Mimi’s Cafe is a nice chain restaurant. Good food, interesting atmosphere. Liked the bread pudding dessert.
