I can’t believe that I have yet to review this place. This is a must visit for our shop if you are on the both side of Kettering. The traditional donuts here as well as a few speciality donuts that are unique to this shop. As one of the reviews stated before me. . YUMMMM
YUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM. Oh my goodness. I am not a huge donut fan but was picking up a sweet snack for a friend when I came across the Peanut Butter Cup donut. I got one for myself too and am so glad. She has yet to find hers on her desk and she better hurry or it will disappear!! I will find my way back to Kettering to get more of these!!!
So don’t bother with the cronut. Seemed like the texture is off, wasn’t nearly as flaky and light as it should have been. Still love the maple bacon donut.11 Aug, 2013Seriously good donuts, I am so glad I checked this place out. Maple bacon donuts, enough said.
Holy moly! Between excellent services by Bill and delicious donuts, this was an amazing experience. It was lunch time and bill even put fresh glaze on some croissants for us. What a great place! Go there now
Wonderful central Dayton donut shop. I have only had their custard filled doughnut twice, once with chocolate icing, once with carmel. I am a huge fan of Bill’s down in Centerville, but I am not often down that way.Stan’s custard doughnut was really good, I’d have to say, close enough to Bill’s that I probably couldn’t truly tell the difference if blindfolded. Now, I am not a doughnut expert… and I mostly prefer custard filled. I have been real happy with the density/lightness of the doughnut, the thickness of the custard and the sweet but not cloying sweetness of the custard.I’ll drop into Stan’s anytime I am in the vicinity. It is a small joint with just a few stools, really a place you take out from.Dang glad a classmate told me how good they were. I was worried they would pale next to Bill’s, but no, there custard ones are toe to toe just as good! Might not be so good for the waistline though…
