Worst customer service ever. Found roach head in food. Call to complain and manager comes over. I take pictures, just in case. She comes in, crushes the bug and claims it was squid’s tooth. I ask for a refund and she leaves. She comes back hours later with a squid’s tooth which looks nothing like the bug, saying if I am not convinced she will refund me. I show her the pictures and she starts apologizing, saying this has never happened before and she would need to talk to the owner. The owner calls me on my cell phone hours later explaining how it could not possibly be a bug. I tell her I have pictures and will likely call the health inspectors unless she can give me some sort of compensation. She says she will call me back and never does. Not once was I actually offered any sort of compensation on this order. I was busy at work all day and did not want to put up with an all day battle over freaking lunch. Needless to say, I am never eating there again, and neither should you.
Ordered delivery 15 min before they closed, food here was awesome! Had shrimp balls (toast), crab Rangoon, chicken lo mein, General Tsao, and Shrimp/Veg stir fry. All ingredients tasted fresh, delivery within 20 min. Kids loved food too.
PLEASE READ BEFORE ORDERING. The customer service here is TERRIBLE. We have ordered there twice. The first time we order fried rice and they brought white rice. So we called and let them know about the mistake. No big deal. They offered 2 free egg rolls on our next order. We ordered again tonight (months later, this evening) and they took TWO hours to deliver. The food was COLD. I called to let them know I was not satisfied and they explained that someone had a flat tire. When you pay for a meal, it should be delivered on time and WARM. The woman hung up on me. I was not rude or upset, just stating the issue. I called back and a male answered and proceeded to tell me that if I did not like the way they did things to not order again. WOW. I have NEVER dealt with a company that is this unprofessional. They clearly do not how to keep a client base or run a successful business. Ridiculous!
DONT WAIST YOUR TIME. If i could give 0 stars i would. Placed an online order for 3 lunch specials they are 7 mins up the road straight line. an hour and a half later i ordered i called to find out where my food was. told it was 5 mins away. 10 mins later i call and tell them to recall their driver. 3 mins after that the driver goes to the address across the street cause they didnt write address correctly. food finally makes it to my door over 1:45 mins after i placed my order. I apologized to the driver, and told her she would have to take the food back. she would not leave my door way threw repeated refusals of a 3 dollar discount. they call and offer me a 50% discount 5 mins later, for a 2 hr wait. No Thank you for the cold food should have called and picked up cj chans but i was trying to stay warm, and that didnt even work because the driver wouldnt let me shut my door help the box of food in the way of the door jam. sorely disappointed with the good reviews.
Better than a few other similar Chinese places. The food has always been good for the price and I always get a free pop or a free egg roll, so I can’t complain there. I have never attempted to call in and order for delivery, I always go in myself to order since I live within a 5 min drive and I need to look at the entire paper menu. (I always do take out). I can’t say I’ve ever been treated rudely per se, but all interactions have been brisk in nature. They don’t have but three to four people working at any given time and seem to be very busy…so I can overlook briskness due to the fast multitasking I watch the lady do while waiting for my food. The boy that does work there doesn’t seem to be interested in being there but having your child work in the restaurant is a very common occurrence in the Asian culture, so don’t expect him to go anywhere anytime soon. Young Chow is not the worse place in Kettering when doing a comparison of other similar places, so would continue to go when it suits me as long as the food taste stays the same. That menu of faded pictures needs to go and some interior updating should be done soon, though.
Office manager. I have ordered 3 times from here.the 1st time the double charged my credit card and then I could not find anyone who at time spoke English to tell me why they had done that.then the 2nd time it was an hour late getting to me.then this last time its another 1hour and 1/2 late. It’s a shame because the food is good but not worth the stress of getting it and trying to speak with someone about it.
Very good Chinese food. I’ve been eating here for more than ten years, and it’s had its ups and downs. The same family has run it for most of that time and they are there to do one thing: cook for you, fast, and well. The boy who answers the phone is a sullen little fart, but you can’t take it personally. Mom makes the best Kung Pao chicken, but she doesn’t cook often. Their longevity speaks for itself, and they will remember you.
