Wonderful experience!. My husband and I went went on a dinner date at Hellriegel’s last week on a Friday, and had an amazing experience. Our server was delightful and extremely helpful with her recommendations. My husbands steak was cooked just the way he asked and my seafood was sauted to perfection!! It had the perfect amount of garlic and butter. i would recomend Hellriegel’s Inn to anyone.

At its prime…50 years ago. I think ‘Hellriegel’ may be German for ‘Heaven’s Waiting Room’ as the average for both staff and customers seems to be 75+. If I fell into this demographic, I probably would have died of old age waiting for service. Despite a nearly empty dining room on a Saturday evening, my party of 3 waited 15 minutes before our server even acknowledged us. Apparently this is normal because the hostess just rolled her eyes when she asked if we had been served. The same was true when it came to beverage refills. The server recognized things were going badly because she said we wouldn’t be charged for our drinks even though we hadn’t asked or complained. Everyone in my party agreed the food was good, not exceptional, with decent sized servings. We chose to dine here because we wanted something different and I had not been here in 30 years. The other 2 in my party had never been here. It was like visiting your grandmother when you’ve become an adult. You have good memories of years past but now you see grandmother, in failing health, can’t keep up with things like she should. Maybe she shouldn’t be doing what she is doing at all.So, Hellriegel’s Inn, thanks for the memories. But that’s all it is going to be from now on – memories. We won’t be back.

Don’t Waste your Money. This was our first visit for the all you can eat breakfast. I was less than impressed. We were there over two hours before breakfast ended and they had completely run out of fruit. The silver dollar pancakes were past their time and were hard around the edges. Our server was less than polite when we ordered two orange juices that came out as water that was colored orange. She gave us the excuse that it came out of a gun, brought me another that was the same. Besides this, for the price of almost $12 a person the food is extremely substandard. I have been wanting to try this breakfast for a while now but am disappointed that I did. Food should be rotated at a buffet and kept fresh, which this establishment failed to do on basically every level.

Mixed at best. Old, worn out place. Some of the worst hamburgers in the Cleveland area, dry and tasteless. Dinner steaks not very good, but surprise of surprises, the open faced Delmonico sandwich is absolutely wonderful. I haven’t tried it, but the buzz on the breakfast buffet is good.

Hellriegel’s food quality. If you are choosing this establishment for ambiance, it is delightful, however the food quality is poor at best. Doesn’t matter what you order, all of their food is low quality and tastes bad. You have to be desperatefor a meal to eat here. You would be better off at a chain restaurant.

Sunday fun day. On a last minute stop at hellriegels a few sundays ago, we had the pleasure of meeting one of the funniest bartenders In Lake county! What a treat, we stoped for one and stayed for five. If you get a chance to stop in, ask Jeany if you could meet Marco, but dont get to close shes the jelous tipe, lol. To put it short, we loved it !!
