Good experience. I like that the Borderline has a Southwestern theme, which gives it a lot of character. The menu is very deep, with lots to pick from. I tried the famous eggs Benedict, and agree that it makes an appropriate signature dish, very unusual with the guacamole and tomatoes and thus a unique experience. I didn’t add hot sauce this time but will the next. My breakfast partner had the vegetarian burrito and raved about it, and mentioned it was on the spicy side. Serving sizes were sufficient. If we wanted to gorge we would have split an order of hash browns and still would have had a reasonable tab.We didn’t have to wait for a table at 9 on a Friday morning, but I think we took the last one. Turnover kept up with new arrivals. Service was fine and friendly.A fine addition to our list of places to have a nice breakfast.
First visit today and best Eggs Benidict I’ve ever had!! Will be returning for the great food and service. A hidden gem in Lakewood I never knew about
The Best Breakfast. One of my favorite places for breakfast. A small cafe that specializes in southwestern breakfast and brunch.The menu is very creative and the portions are great. The quality of food is always outstanding as it’s the owner who does the cooking. The wait staff is attentive and very friendly. At times the wait can be long due to the popularity and they take cash only.
Service is pretty slow with only two people working. Silverware is cheap and I had to stand in a two foot hall way for a half hour.
My favorite place for breakfast. Can’t even limit myself to one favorite at this restaurant. Stuffed French toast is crazy good, they have great omlettes (with flavorful hash browns), and the breakfast burrito is good. Look for chorizo sausage in a breakfast dish.
So,so good!. The restaurant is small and unassuming. The FOOD is fancy, but the decor is not. I am pretty certain the place is owned by 2 sisters. One cooks and the other serves. They are closed on Monday and Tuesdays, which sucks for us but it’s understandable. Everyone needs a few days off and since there are only the two of them they have to close sometime. This place is only open for breakfast so come and enjoy. All I’ve ever had is the eggs Benedict. I would love to try something else but I just love the eggs Benedict so much… Maybe someday I’ll be in the mood for adventure. The whole menu looks amazing.
GO TO!. I have been happily going to Borderline for years and have always had a delicious breakfast …more tasty food than I ever have room to finish eating! LOVE the avacado, bacon, cilantro eggs benedict. It’s a taste explosion. The wait is always worth it and the atmosphere is lively and comfortable. A great place to bring out of town friends or family!!
