Average food; too few overwhelmed servers
Creative starters and salads. Servers was overly pleasing which is annoying. She averaged 15 minutes to bring drinks orders every time. I would return but would not sit in her section again
Boring!!! I know we were there for the first time on a Monday… but really! I should not be able to hear everyone’s conversations. Turn up the music. Give the place it’s own vibe. Food was good. The place needs to make a mark. Yawn.
Distressing. Caesar salad served in a giant flat crouton bottom and top that had an overpowering parmesion flavor. Ceviche that tasted like it was marinated in dishwater and rinsed with pepper. A sixteen dollar lobster pizza that tasted like they robbed from a bus pan at Red Lobster, and the oiliness. I need some clearasil acne cream……..nice waiter though
Not too bad. I gave it a thumbs down because it didn’t earn my like. I don’t dislike the place and I would go back, but… Everything had potential to be 5 star, but it seems like they just kept missing the marks. The Service and atmosphere was great, but the food failed to impress me. I got the cheese plate appetizer because I love cheese. Overall I’d give it a 6/10. Two points lost for using so much blue cheese and two points off because they could have prepped the fruits and nuts differently. It had a weird taste and color (pickled maybe). The French restaurant on Old Detroit Rd has a better version. The Caesar salad was not bad and very creative actually. It is served in a edible bowl. A little over developed with flavor here, they should modify how they serve the salad that edible bowl took too much away from the dish. It gets an 8/10.I don’t remember what the main meal was, but I went back on their menu and I don’t see it. It had pasta stuffed with mashed white beans and the meat was cooked well enough. Where they lost me was the sauce. Visually not appealing. 8/10.I do plan on going back and already know what I want:1. Shrimp Ceviche Coconut Milk Sweet Potato Chile Pepper Melon Lime Leaf & Sesame / 12 2. Melon & Berry Salad Mixed Greens Red Onion Radish Almonds Strawberry Balsamic Vinaigrette / 93. Roasted Duck Crispy Crackling Honey Lavender Spring Squashes Red Rice Caramelized Orange Pistachio Reduction / 25 4. Vanilla Mousse Fresh Seasonal Berries / 7 Wish me luck…I so want this to be great.
Had a terrible experience at Georgetown, was completely ignored the entire time. I’m assuming it’s because we were a large group with added gratuity, but it would have been nice for our server to acknowledge us in a pleasant manner. Will never go back there again.
Delightful!. We were visiting Cleveland to go to an Indians game on Sunday, and the token Clevelander in our group took us to this lovely and delicious spot for dinner. After a long drive up from Columbus, and an afternoon spent at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, we were ready for a good drink and nice dinner, and Georgetown did not disappoint. Sadly, it was a chilly evening, so we couldn’t sit on the expansive patio, but the atmosphere inside was warm and inviting. We arrived early, but within a short time, a jazz combo started playing, which gave off a really nice vibe. The service was wonderful; our server had a good sense of humor, knew what she was doing and took our slightly madcap group in stride. The cocktails were absolutely delicious and quite generous, and the food was simply outstanding. The house salad with cucumber and melon was one of the best flavor combos I have had in ages, my walleye was perfect and all of the other entrees looked superb as well. Several members of our party had steaks, and they were huge and perfectly cooked. The prices were spot on for the quality of food, portion size and service and atmosphere, I have paid far more and gotten far less too many times in the past! Overall, our visit was a complete delight, and I am only sad that we don’t live closer so we could visit Georgetown more often!
