Good diner food. Love this place! Cash only but it’s such a good breakfast joint. Very basic, nothing mind blowing or super unique, but it’s a solid product for a very low price. The staff is always very nice and pleasant. I’ve never been disappointed by this place.
Awful. One of the worst dinning experiences of my life, and I’m 65. Just got back from breakfast. We went there based on reviews. It did not even come close to meeting the expectations. I ordered their #2 breakfast; 2 Eggs (scrambled), 2 sausages, home fries and toast. I received 2 eggs (scrambled) pancakes, and bacon, Also received an orange Juice, which I was charged for,but did not order. My wife ordered their #1 breakfast and her eggs were received cold, although she did get what she ordered. The wait person did not stop back to see if everything was alright.WE WILL NOT GO BACK
A simple diner with good food and lunch specials, I had the Tuna melt and it was great, enough tuna for 3 sandwhiches.
Great place to eat. Food was excellent. Service was everything you want from a small diner. NO PLASTIC, CASH ONLY!
One of lakewoods hidden gem. Ive know about the place to be for a long time, but don’t frequent it. but when i am hungry for a late breakfast, this is the place to be. the name says it all. i just finished up the crazy omelet. this best of an omelet was just too much food. what i am saying is i am full to the brim, and i have to save the rest. and the flavor was outstanding. you will get yr moneys worth, plus worth.
Glad we found Place to Be by accident. We originally planned to go to Melt on a Saturday afternoon but found an hour and a half wait at 4:00. Too long with a 2 year old, so we went into a clothing store next door and asked for another place to eat. They recommended Place to Be and it was great. I got a reuben that was stacked high with tender corned beef, fries and a bowl of chicken noodle soup for 8.95. My mother in law got a tuna melt filled with about a 3 inch thick layer of tuna, my niece got a grilled chicken ranch wrap that was really good, wife got a grilled cheese (4.95 with fries and bowl of soup) and my son got chicken tenders. The service was terrific, the 2 servers were really nice and personable. The whole meal cost 42.00, which I thought really reasonable since all sandwiches included fries and a bowl of soup. A really great place.
SOOOO GOOOOD!. My husband has been eating here since he was a kid, he use to live in Lakewood. He introduced me to The Place To Be. I was hooked. The best Reubens and the best Patty Melt. The fries are awesome! We have had some good soups too. The Reuben and the Patty Melt are my favorites! But I want to try more. I know they have great breakfasts too! A gem!
