Terrible food. I attempted to send my steak back but the lady said if I don’t like It I can leave. So I did. On a side note the whole place smelled of rotten fish.
Don’t eat over there, they’ll tow your car while you’re having lunch in their dirty place! About 3 weeks ago, my lunch costs me a pretty penny! It was my 1st time there. As I was walking out after the lunch, to go to my car that was parked in THEIR parking lot, the towing truck had already lifted my car, and was about to leave! I was in a hurry to pick up my kid from school, so I didn’t argued much with the driver. He wanted $100 if I didn’t had the money, and he I was supposed to go with him, or $50 on the spot to put the car down. As I said, I was very much in a hurry, so I paid the $50 so I can go. I will never ever eat in that place again! Not only because of the incident, but also because the place is very dirty and the food….uhhh…terrible! If the idiots could fly, this place definetley would be an airport!
Music on New Year’s Eve. Join the Doris Long Trio for traditional jazz on Sat. Dec. 31st from 8:30 to midnight. Dallas Coffey is on bass. Neil Kammiller is on piano. Al Fuller on sax and Jim Weiss on drums. The music is free and the vibe is cozy. See you there!
Best music in town. I go to the Waterbury on Fridays to hear great jazz. The Doris Long Trio plays (with Joe Hunter and Dallas Coffey). They are 3 of the top musicians in town. Other musicians show up to sit in with the trio almost every Friday night. It’s always a musical delight. And it’s FREE! As for the food, I have my favorites – the tomato monterrey, the blackened fish and the ribs.Stop in and see for yourself. It’s worth the visit.
I love this place, hanging out with Hoss the owner listening to his Danny Green stories… If you get the chance to stop in it’s always epic…
Lakewoods best kept secret…. It is interesting in all the years I have lived in Lakewood, I never heard of this place til recently. I cant believe how much Ive missed. Apparently this bar has been in Lakewood for a very long time, the current owner for over 20 years!! They have consistently fantastic food and service. The crowd is laid back and welcoming to everyone. You wont find food this good or unique anywhere else in lakewood, it is not bar food. There is plenty of bar sitting space and plenty of dining room if you just want to eat. Thursday, Friday, and some Saturdays there is live entertainment, but nothing too loud and rowdy. Its the perfect place for anyone of any age or background. If you havent tried it yet, you should. I loved it and keep going back!!
