Velvet Ice Cream in Utica, Ohio is always a treat. We have been enjoying Ye Old Mill for many decades. It is a place we take every out-of-town visitor. Their ice cream is famous in Ohio. The building is a remarkable architectural masterpiece. The only part that is original is the old stone foundation, as they have had several fires. We enjoy watching the ice cream being made, eating the ice cream, enjoying the museum and the historic film about the Dager family. We also have lunch from time to time but mostly we go for the ice cream. On weekends they have animals to pet and pony rides. There is also a nice pond with ducks that love the ends of the ice cream cones. A wonderful place for kids of all ages.
