Worst dining experience ever. The quality of food was TERIBLE. I hate to say it because they seem like nice folks, but the food was hardly passable as restaurant quality. HUGE waste of money.
Had the buffet today. It was pretty good. I will go back.
Never Going Back. Bad choice for the evening. RAW chicken and a waitress who had a temper tantrum. Fortunately, I noticed the raw chicken before my elderly dinner companion took a bite. Nothing I could do about the immature waitress.
It is your usual Amish restaurant. Food was good, nothing wonderful. We did have great service and food was fresh. The peanut butter pie was yummie!
Ick. Went with my mom, brother, and gal. We were headed to Bob Evans at first. Back home in Youngstown, we have an Amish style restaurant called Das Dutch Haus which is absolutely amazing. Olde dutch restaurant is not amazing. At all. Tacky crap gifts sold before you get to the table. Cheap frozen food, heated back up was what they served. No sausage gravy? They had gat dang CHICKEN gravy… Blasphemy! Coffee never got refilled. Do you want me to continue? I can… Undercooked bacon, corn nuggets, and chicken fingers with the texture of rubber. Yum. Ha! No really. Bad. Very disappointed.
Disappointment. Although the menu is full of choices and the prices are good, the food is lacking in flavor. Everything seems so bland and lackluster. I have been in several absolutely wonderful Amish style restaurants, and the Olde Dutch is not in that league. The service is hit and miss. Either your server forgets all about you and hangs out in the kitchen area, or she hovers over your table until your blood pressure skyrockets and you leave just to get some peace and quiet at Arby’s across the parking lot.
Needs salt and seasoning. We did the buffet. Everything lacked salt and seasoning. It was some of the most boring food I’ve ever had.
