Tony’s Wins the Steakhouse Championship. Our party of five (5) was celebrating our Miami University graduate on Sunday, May 17. I did my research on bestCincinnati steakhouses and determined Tony’s was the best choice. The decision was applauded and all enjoyed theexperience. From beginning to end…excellent in every way. Great steaks, great sides, wine and cocktails…all sweet.Atmosphere, service and food all graduated magna cum laude. When we return to Cincinnati we’ll look forward todining at Tony’s.
Terrible Experience. We went last weekend for a celebratory dinner and were extremely disappointed. The table was unsteady, the chairs were uncomfortable. The waiter was loud and obnoxious. He spent most of the two hours we were there playing with his pre-school aged son sitting at the next table and feeding him mashed potatoes and carrying him around the restaurant. The food was fair at best, certainly not worth the outrageous prices. The manager was spoken to, but he didn’t seem concerned at all that we were dropping $800 on a meal and more on babysitters to be treated like we were at a circus. Never again.
We went to Tony’s last night for my son’s 21st birthday. The food was great, especially the calamari starter, and my bone-in ribeye. My wife’s scallops were also excellent; very sweet. Our server was also excellent, responsive but clingy or intrusive. This is not a criticism, but in our view the restaurant’s location and decor do not do this outstanding food and service justice.
Excellent food, service and atmosphere. It is very pricey, but well worth it.
AMAZING!!. My husband and I have been to some of the best steakhouses in NYC (Peter Lugers, BLT Prime, Strip House to name a few) and this place could top them all! Best steak I’ve had in a long time… and the mashed potatoes aren’t too shabby either. Totally worth the trip!
Upon recommendations from a friend I decided to dine hear. I ordered the ribeye Oscar a 300 dollar bottle of red wine and a few other sides with my best gal friend. My ribeye was coated in bernaise sauce cooked terribly and that wasn’t the worst of it. My waitress was telling all about her sexual endeavors! The owner did walk by to others and he seemed very nice and kind but when I spent with tip $700 its no wonder the owner would be smiling. This was at best sub par and I will absolutely not be returning. And my baked potato was cold. And unsliced, the bread hard as a rock. Absolutely terrible. 🙁 I wanted to like it.
I est out 3 to 4 times a week in all corners and I can tell you this place can hold its own anywhere in the world in food quality service presentation friendliness just outstanding
