Way too sweet!. If you like your thai food to taste like dessert, then you will love Zab Thai. Personally, I did not. I love Thai and had tried this place a couple of years ago and never went back but could not recall why, so decided to give it another chance. Red curry is my go to dish, my daughter got pad thai. I have never in my life tasted a hint of sweetness in red curry so was really surprised at how sickeningly sweet my food was. It had spice too, but the sweetness was so overwhelming I couldn’t even finish it. Thought pad thai does have a bit of a sweet flavor at times, it was also overdone on my daughters food. I am really surprised this place has such good reviews. I found the flavor to be completely off.
Just finished up dinner at Zab. It is serious Thai food at a great price and in a very comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone! The Shrimp Pad Thai was great.
Our new favorite. We [ my 2 roommates and myself and friends] have been searching for the best thai restaurant in cincinnati. and now we’ve found it. one of us is hardly adventurous, but the temptations of the menu and the sweet bow to eating challenges charmed even the fearful palate. and the rewards were….rewarding. others ranged far and wide in our tastings. nothing is only good; all of it is wonderful. even when it’s rarely not to our taste, it’s guaranteed that someone else at the table will enjoy it. we’ve been back 4 times now in 5 weeks, and expect to continue our exploration of the menu. i have never gone to a place where i have so much choice anxiety and wish i could order 10 different foods! from appetizers to desserts, it’s a joyous experience. also, the decor is fun, and the service was very attentive and friendly. the only sad thing for me is that it’s not in my neighborhood.
Great Lunch!. I stopped by Zab with my mother for a lunch date. Both of our food was ready very quickly, but was so fresh! Great service and the food was delish. I’m definitely going back. Atmosphere is hip and modern and I plan on suggesting Zab for my next date night.
ZAb is very good. I go to all the Thai joints i can find and i like this one best, as of right now. Bangkok Express, Pad Thai, Mekong all do a decent job but items at Zab seem to come with more flavorful ingredients. if your new to Thai, try to chicken pad thai, medium hot , and enjoy. the prices seem fair, also.
Excellent service and food at great value. Fresh, healthy ingredients and BYObeverage. They accommodated a large party on a Friday night of 22 with effortless ease! Usually, I am not a fan of places like this that occupy small strip mall space but the atmosphere is very nice and once inside you forget the mall aspect. Very accommodating with kids but got the impression that this is more of an upscale or dressy-casual haunt for the locals and a date night fav…not really a place for the roaming and noisy kid set! Average couple 2 meals and tea ran about $40 on average before tip.
Just had lunch here and it was amazing. Best thai food I’ve had in Cincinnati by far!
