Poor service is my reason for my low rating. I went in with a Groupon ready to get the lamb curry (one of my favorite dishes); however was told I could not apply my Groupon towards that (though they never specified in the fine print that there was any dishes excluded from this offer). I returned my Groupon and will most likely never try this restaurant in the future, which is a disappointment since they were so close to my home.
Just finally tried this place last night. The owner is amazing and so kind. The food is homemade and less Americanized, and also more healthy than many Indian restaurants. The lemon rice is to die for and there are many vegetarian options to choose from. I opted for a vegetarian dish with cauliflower, peas, and potatoes. It was the best Indian food I’ve ever had!! Consider me addicted.
Wonderful Indian Deli. I love this place. The owner is friendly and will gladly give you an education while you are there. There are some north Indian dishes and some south Indian dishes. This is also the only place in town to get a good dosa (those huge delicate rice pancakes.) A lovely spicy Indian soup (a rasam with lentils and tomatos, my favorite in the winter when I have a cold) comes with the dosa. Yes, with the exception of the dosas, foods are pre-made and are chilled, but don’t let that hold you back. The food is lower in fat than standard Indian fare. I could eat the lemon rice by the bucket.
