Avoid. When our order arrived it was clearly not what we had requested. The waitress refused to accept this, and insisted she had ‘confirmed the order twice’. This was blatantly untrue; we had ordered the Baigan Aloo and wouldn’t have ordered the Aloo Matter as it is described as ‘creamy’ and neither of us eat dairy. The waitress insisted that the creaminess comes from ‘creamy chili sauce’ and has no dairy content. Regardless, it was not the dish that had been ordered.We would have been happy to settle things calmly with the owner (simply with the requested dish being provided in place of the one we hadn’t asked for) but he was very rude and insisted on shouting that his waitress doesn’t lie and couldn’t possibly have made an error. We paid for our appetizers (and got charged for a ‘complimentary’ salad also) and left. We won’t be going back.
Terrible !!! Worst Indian restaurant ever.. Below average food. we went twice for lunch buffet, most dishes were over by 2pm even though they are open till 3 pm. when we politely requested for buffet refills, the owner rudely dismissed the requests and told us that he runs the place for profit and so cannot refill. Worst restaurant experience ever. there are many other joints in Toledo which provide great food and good customer service. Do not make the mistake of going here. to top it, the place was cold and horrible service.
Great food! They now serve wine, used to be BYOD. Personally, I liked bringing my own wine. My fiance and I are really bummed they won’t allow it any longer.
Best Indian in Toledo. Agree to agree the service is S…L…O….W….However, it is well worth the wait! The food is divine and it is clear that the wait is due to the made to order dishes, instead of the re-prepared cuisine you sometimes get with Indian joints. Walk-in, seat yourself and be ready for teh best toledo has to offer!!
Great Food. I have eaten at the Jewel about thirty times over the last five or six years. The food is very good. The restaurant is very clean. The waitress was nice. I think the buffet at lunch is one of the best deals in town for lunch. I like the lamb curry and coconut cabbage best, but the selections change. I would strongly recommend the Jewel for authentic made as you order food at dinner time as well. Only negative is you need to bring your own wine or other beverage.

ONE OF THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICES…. In short, * Owner is willing to decieve by giving items that is not in the buffet just to get you in* Rude — no manners or even any kind of respect to his customers ( yell, kick out, running after the money)* Tell you the lunch buffet closes at 2:30 when they start getting the trays out of the buffet after that * Owner doesn’t guarantee the food that you go to even though he tells you that it is there to let you come* Nan which is a free bread they serve is a basket that the owner is willing to snatch away from your table when you say i don’t find food to in the buffet to eat with* Make sure to get there by 11 am if not earlier to get enough food to fill you up otherwise, their service is not guaranteed and you will ended up going home hungry….I called to check if the food that I like is in there and it was there as I was told by the manager. Later, I couldnt get the chance to eat it because the quantity was so small and other couples ate it. When I asked for some they said, oh no we can’t we r going to close at 2:30 and refused to provide me with any even though they knew that i didnt eat of it and I came for it!!!!!! The manger started yelling….asking me to leave and then accused me of being cheap when I refused to pay my part of the bill, which made me so mad, so I left the money on the table…he was OK with this as long as he got the money out of ur pocket!!Advise not to go if you want to keep your self respect and be full!
