Will not go back!!! When at a Mexican restaurant I expect fresh made salsa, not salsa from a jar. The beans smelled and tasted like burnt plastic. The rice needed more cumin. I had thr chicken and beef fajitas, the beef had way too much pepper and the chicken was thick chunks. Neither one had authentic fajita flavor. The 3 flour tortillas were so horrible that when they cooled down they were rubbery and not edible. As far as the cleanliness I believe that you need more than water and a napkin to clean a table. I have a big issue with carpet in restaurants, I feel it’s very unsanitary, and harbors germs and mold. And the amount of chunks of food on the floor and napkins etc, someone could’ve cleaned the floor .

I took most of the lettuce off and it looked like it was bagged lettuce, not fresh. The margarita was good, salsa was alright. With the abundance of good Mexican restaurants, I probably won’t be back.
Good food, awesome location. This was one of my favorite Mexican places in Toledo. Absolutely love the atmosphere & location. Very lively & unique. The food was also quite good. I got some sort of sampler platter that featured a lot of different things. All of it was quite tasty. Especially loved their tamales. Drink selections & bar area are pretty nice. Can get quite busy at times, so expect a little bit of a wait. Definitely worth it though. Only negative about Ventura’s was that I didn’t really care for their salsa. Seemed pretty generic & a bit liquidy. Don’t really get that much of it in the container either. Chips were chips. Salsa can be improved however. Overall, awesome place. Absolutely love the lively atmosphere, food, environment and vibe of Ventura’s. Definitely recommend.
