Delicious. I used to go to Chuy’s in Arizona and it’s as good as I remember. Great margaritas and Tex Mex
Less than mediocre. Went there for lunch. The service was slow and the food lacked seasoning. I wanted to give it a chance, but after I cut my enchilada open and noticed the cheese wasn’t melted I gave up. But just so this review isn’t all bad, the sweet tea was good.
Nothing like Texas. Nothing like the chuys in Texas. Went there this evening, they don’t have Mexican martinis, we kept running out of chips and salsa, took them 45 minutes to just take our food order, then they messed up the food order and never fixed it, and the waitress didn’t bring me my change when I paid my bill. If you can’t run a Texas restaurant in Ohio, then don’t open them here.
Barely Mediocre. My husband and I love Mexican food and thought we’d give Chuy’s a try. Even though it is a chain, we hoped for the best. Unfortunately, the food just wasn’t very good.Fun atmosphere, good service, but our food was bland and boring. We tried two of their specialties – the steak burrito and the bam-bam (I think was the name) chicken enchilladas. The tortillas were thick and doughy. My husband liked the steak itself (but he took it out of the icky tortilla to enjoy it) and we both like the refried beans, but there was an overall lack of flavor. The sauce on my enchilladas seemed old – lumpy like a cheese sauce that has been heated too long and broken. Chicken seemed like it had been boiled – no seasoning. This was our first, and will be our last, visit to Chuy’s. There are too many good authentic Mexican restaurants in Cincinnati to waste time or money here.
Chuychanga all the way. I’ve gotten the same thing every time I go, the chuychanga, so I highly recommend that. Good place with a nice atmosphere.
Loved the fajitas and margaritas. Bartender was especially helpful for our first time and provided excellent service.
Good but special?. I had Chuy’s for lunch today. I got the chicka-chicka boom-boom enchilada. It was good but nothing really special. The salsa options were different but the hatch green chili had good flavor but looked weird. The creamy jalapeo was also good but not really salsa. I would go back but I don’t think I’ll stop going to my usually quick service, sit down, Mexican restaurant.
