Went to Embers for the first time to celebrate my wifes birthday. What a great dining experience. To start, our waiter was absolutely on top of his game. Very informative on the daily specials and wine pairings. He really made the effort to do a fabulous job.The menu wasnt too overwhelming at all. Very simple in my opinion but with many choices. We started out with the Kobe lobster sushi roll, as well as the lobster bisque. It was to die for.I had the NY strip cooked medium rare. Steak was perfectly pared with a hollandaise sauce. My wife had the Chilean Sea Bass. She loved it.Embers has a decent wine menu and the house made deserts were enough to bring us back again.
Tried a bunch of the dishes and sides tonight. Sushi was well made and very good. The chicken spring roll appetizer was good but not really necessary. Green Goddess salad was interesting and had great flavor. The steak was cooked perfectly and would recommend to anyone. If I had to say there was a downside to Embers it would be the sides. The side items were good but nothing special.
