A cute old diner in the sleepy neighborhood of Madeira. Being a chili parlor I ordered the namesake: a five-way and a cheese coney. The five-way was very light on the chili and cheese, and was mostly a sticky spaghetti that had the texture of spaghetti that had been sitting too long in a colander. The pieces stuck together. The little chili there was was under-seasoned and bland, and strangely light in color. The result was a taste of slightly cheesy tacky spaghetti. The coney was slightly better as the hot dog and mustard provided a bit of much needed flavor. A bit heavy on the mustard but not bad. The ice tea tasted fresh brewed and I liked that they had higher-end all-natural oyster crackers. I’ve heard great things about the breakfast, but observed a microwave frequently being used to heat up omelette ingredients. Boo. While not terrible I am not convinced to try anything else out, esp. with Blue Ash Chili and Pleasant Ridge Chili offering a substantially better version of the same thing just a short drive away.
