Lunch. We stopped in at the Peninsula Restaurant today about 12:30. He got the perch platter which is good. I saw a Famous Roast Beef sandwich to try. It’s pretty hard to make a bad hot roast beef sandwich or so I thought. This place cooked the meat months ago, froze it dry and heats it up in a microwave when someone orders it. It had the texture of cardboard and the taste as well. They brought a steak knife with it but it wasn’t needed. The meat crumbled into a dry pile using a fork. Parts seemed to have a green sheen to it. Avoid it!
Pleasantly surprised!. I was a bit hesitant meeting some friends here, who were visiting from North Carolina. None of us had eaten here before and I had seen some poor reviews. But apparently the restaurant is under new management. Turned out to be an excellent choice! The food was served quickly and the portions were huge. I had the Perch platter, served with four pieces butterflied open. My wife had the meatloaf which was at least two inches thick. Everyone was pleased with their meals, the desserts (try the Death by Chocolate pie) and the services.Turned out to be a very pleasant surprise. I highly recommend the Peninsula Restaurant.
This restaurant is a great place to go for breakfast! We enjoyed our meal and plan on coming back soon.
Best Bang for Your Buck. Been going to Peninsula Restaurant for years . I highly recommend the place.Breakfast is my favorite meal. Their portions are generous and their service is efficient and friendly- all for a bargain price.The expanded menu and hours are added bonuses. The updated, meticulously clean interior and accepting credit cards make the whole dining experience second to none. Two thumbs up! You won’t be disappointed!
Great Find. By far the best breakfast and lunch on the peninsula. Always worth the Journey and it is a must stop.

Landmark updated.. Pennisula is a Marblehead landmark and has recently been renovated and looks great. The food is very good and the staff is wonderful. There are even some meatless items on the menu. We go there just about every week for breakfast.
