Red velvet cakes. I order a red velvet cake and cupcakes at least twice per year for various occasions. I just call with the theme, color, size, quantity and general idea of decoration. I leave the final decision and discretion to the decorator. They have never failed me. Cakes always come out better than I imagined and the red velvet is delicious. I rate them five stars out of five. My girl friend recommended this bakery over six years ago. Everyone loves the decor and the cake! I really don’t understand any of the bad reviews. Every time I visit I get donuts and pastries as well. Always good, even when I go in after five pm!!! I also happen to appreciate small and private owned business. Keep your bad reviews to yourself. Those complaining probably after only one visit maybe in a year! What do you think that does for this stores bottom line. I wish you would support our small businesses unless you want chains that are tasteless and expensive. Sweet Sinsations you keep on keeping on!!! May your doors never close!
Where’s the donuts?!?!?!?!?!. I stopped in on a Saturday morning around 10 am and there was only one tray of cake donuts to be found in the whole place! The girl behind the counter said that a lot of people came in with big orders that morning, depleting their stock. That’s fine if they want to run their business that way, but I’ll take my business someplace where I can be assured they’ll have plenty of product at hand.
Horrible-horrible-horrible- do not go here !!!. Got cake baked here for husbands birthday yesterday – cake was extremely dry – owner was extremely rude instead being sympathetic – – and i hope you are reading this you a.h. – go to whole foods 0r anywhere but here
Rude/Inconsistent. When looking at the reviews by other people, there is a consistent theme. Good donuts, but wish the staff were more friendly and welcoming. We agree. We have ordered cakes just for our use at home, but our experience says that we would never order one for a wedding or event where other people would be there. Reason? Inconsistency. One time the butter cream icing is applied paper thin, the next, normal. One time a white cake has the texture of a pound cake, the next, normal. And don’t ever bring this to the attention of staff or owners. You will be made to feel that it is you who are wrong and question whether you even got it there. They deny, deny, even when you take it back and show them. No matter how obvious, they don’t see it. They are just plain rude and insulting. Only place I know of around here where the customer is always wrong. From the reviews, we are not the only ones who feel this way
Del Pal. I must say I am truly pleased with the quality of products they offer. I was was very satisfied with the taste freshness of the cakes and pastry I received. I was always a Buskins bakery fan all my life, my whole family was, but from now on I will be a long time patron of my new bakery. I hear you make a mean wedding cake, I will be ordering my anniversary cake from you as well. jeep up the good work.
Pathetic. I stoped in one day for a cupcake. When i asked if they use red food coloring in their batter the supposed baker came out, gave me a dirty look and asked what?? I asked again and her response was that she didnt know because it comes in as a mix and they just bake it! Seriously a bakery that uses prepackaged mixes?? While i was there another customer cam in wanting to order a cake for that comming weekend. She was told they wouldnt be able to have a cake in by then! They dont even make their cakes! They just customize them by decorating the already made cakes that they recieve!! I was appauled. If i want boxed cupcakes or premade cakes i could go to the grocery store and pay a lot less for the same quality item.. So sad!
This bakery goods are good but they are ALWAYS….out of their main products…donuts, mini cakes etc no matter what time of day. Save yourself some time and go somewhere else
