I’m sorry but there was a hair in my mums food. Food tasted good for me but I ended up getting severe food poisoning and that was the only thing I ate all day so I can’t think of Anything else that would cause it
We had lunch there today, and both the food and the atmosphere were wonderful! We both got the specials; my husband had the smoked ribeye and I had the skate. It was a draw as to which was better, though the creamy cheese grits on my plate may have pushed mine over the top! Service was friendly and not intrusive, and the space is charming. We will definitely be back for dinner!
So Disappointed. My husband took me and my daughter here for my birthday. I had the chicken and waffles and the chicken was so dry, not spicy and very little sauce to overcome the dryness. It was so terrible I ate less than half of it.My husband and daughter ordered the 16 oz ribeye – I seriously doubt it was 16 oz because my daughter ate the entire steak. My husband asked for his blackened and cooked medium – it was so undercooked it was rubbery and definitely not blackened – I tasted it, very little flavor.Overpriced, definitely. The wine was okay – one glass is about 4 oz for around $10. The glass I had at home was much better.I didn’t say anything to my husband – I didn’t want to ruin the night. But – I will never go there again.
Tried the Wilsflower tonight; so very good!Very good wine list and outstanding service! The food was even better!Try the ribs!!!! WOW!Highly recommended!
Interesting place with interesting food. I went there for lunch with some co-workers. We all got something different but I only got to eat what I ordered. I got the chicken and waffles. It was good but not your normal chicken and waffles. The chicken was not fried but grilled. The waffle was light but had good flavor. It all sat on a bed of southern green which was interesting but the overall flavor was good. The homemade root beer was a little strong on the root flavor for my taste. Others at the table had the burger, grilled cheese, and the croissant sandwich. When I return I think I’ll try the grilled cheese with no onions. The burger would be my next choice after that. Prices are fair but don’t expect a cheap lunch. Give it a try, it’s worth it.
I’ve been to Wildflower four times, and each time I get a better meal. The food is outstanding – today mine was cod with bok choy and pineapple guacamole on a bed of coconut rice. That rice was like candy and the cod was cooked perfectly. The hubs had the grass fed beef burger on a pretzel bun – and there wasn’t a crumb left on his plate. Burger wasn’t as greasy as a typical burger. Both our meals were piping hot and well prepared. The house the restaurant is located in is cute, comfortable and eclectic and the wait staff is knowledgable and friendly. Our experience was anything but pretentious. Even though we didn’t have reservations we were able to get in – and we were lucky to, since the restaurant was filling up quickly as we left. It takes a little longer to get your meal and it’s a bit more pricey than the midrange we like to be in – but the quality of food and service is certainly worth spending the extra time and money. I’m sorry for those who have had a bad experience, but I’d encourage a second try – I think you’ll find that’s the exception not the rule. (and I’m not a Mary Kay housewife, whatever that is 😉 )
Meh. Food here is hit or miss. Good wine/drink list, but a bit on the $$$ end. Wait staff was pretentious and uneducated about the menu. Greeted at the door by a lady with an iPad, asking if we had a lunch reservation (in an almost empty restaurant.) and waited 20mins for menus. Seems to attract loud, Mary Kay selling housewifes who think it’s real trendy to eat local. May give it a second chance when the patio opens. Maybe.
