Unbalanced. My Grandma and i went for lunch here today and it was awful. I got the Wisemen (?) bowl. The veggies were completely raw and cold. The tofu was flavorless and the sauce was served on the side. I poured some sauce over it. Still terrible. My Grandma’s wrap sandwich was supposed to be Indian inspired but was also cold, limp and tasteless. The chicken was cold, the veggies raw and the sauce was faintly sour. We left still hungry.The crab rangoon were okay but it was awkward once we realized that we were starving and that they were the only edible thing on the table.The place looked clean and inviting. The employees were super friendly and kind but the food was atrocious. I regret not complaining to them but I figured that the rest of their food must be equally as bad.
Taste Like Frozen Chinese Food.. I thought magic wok was bad but add higher price to it and you have Balance. Could make better at home.
Nothing special and overpriced. Fairly small portions. Got a bowl with steak and veggies. Steak was okay and the veggies werent cooked thoroughly.. still hard. You can probably get better for your money across the street at magic wok.
Fast – Fresh – Flavorful. We ordered carryout at the new Balance @ Central & Holland-Sylvania. No tea bar yet, but that’s coming. Can’t wait.No comment on the service since we weren’t eating in, but the host was exceptional. Took time with explanations of the concept and the various menu items.We were impressed with two different bowls, wonton soup and potstickers. Very good on all counts. We’ll certainly return often, anxious to sample the other sauces and, of course, the teas.Only one complaint on this virgin visit – the potsticker dip is far too salty. Tone it down, please.Update – 8.22.2013Far and away the best Mongo taco and egg roll to be had in NW Ohio. Every item is fresh, no soggy veggies here, superb sauces, wrap/tortilla perfectly crisp. The Nuts4pao is outstanding, as is the General Tso’s chicken. Very moderately priced.
Our first time here and it won’t be our last! The service was awesome and the food was super fresh! We ordered two of the bowls, an egg roll, and a couple teas. My husband especially loved the bubble tea! One of the best quick Asian restaurants in the area.
