Ehh. I had the Mediterranean style pizza and it was overbaked, extremely greasy and just bland. In all honesty for a fine dining establishment I have had better at pizza hut!

This isn’t the Thyme you’re looking for.. My wife and I were regulars at the original Thyme restaurant for over half a decade, in its former location. We took delight in the careful balancing of flavors on the various entrees, the generous portions, and a willingness to use spices that runs counter to the Midwestern food philosophy that every dish can be fixed with more salt or ketchup. And while I’m delighted Thyme2 has taken off for the owners, after trying it three times we’ve stopped coming by.Simply put:1) The protein portions of all the entrees we’ve tried are significantly smaller than they were, previously. This is on dishes that were carried over from Thyme.2) The cost has gone up compared to the same appetizers and entrees at Thyme.3) The wait for each course has more than doubled. There are very evident problems getting the food up from the lower level where the casual dining is to the fine dining, but it goes deeper than that. I’ve no idea what’s going on, but it hasn’t improved over our three widely spaced visits. If any one of these was the case without the others, we’d stick with Thyme2. We developed a rapport with one of the owners over the years, who liked coming around to the tables and remembered people who were regulars. We also came to enjoy seeing some of the staff, whom we knew by name. But when we put all three of these changes together, we come up only with the word disappointment. I can see why a reviewer who doesn’t know Thyme wouldn’t remarks on the changes in Thyme2, but for us, it’s a sad loss.

Birthday dinner bust. SO Disappointing! Filet mignon over cooked, pork chop overcooked, scallops (scant, 2 on plate) drowned in citrus risotto and bitter watercress, chicken good: of 4 Meals only 1 acceptable. 25% is a failing grade. Manager dismissive of very reasonably voiced concerns, and argued with us. It is safe to say not only will I never go again but will gladly spread the word how over rated Thyme 2 is. Thyme 0 would be better title for this place. Unfortunately I recommended for a birthday dinner based on my last experience at the original Thyme, when they were up town, when they actually had a decent menu.

Went Saturday for a 2nd time. The lobster pizza is gross, lobster and carmalized onions just aren’t a good combo. I hate having to walk through a cloud of cigarette smoke on my way inside. We sat at the bar and the service was just ok, no real personalities. My filet mignon was good, but I can think of many other places to go instead.

Always a fabulous meal!. My husband and I have NEVER had a less than awesome meal here! Everything from appetizers to desserts is stunning. The staff is very attentive and John (the chef) usually goes from table to table to ask about your dining experience. The new location is beautiful. We just made our New Years Eve reservations and are looking forward to another fabulous meal!

As good as it gets in NE Ohio. Chef John Kolar holds an honored place in the contingent of creative young chefs who have put the Cleveland area on the culinary map, and my first visit to Thyme2 did not disappoint in any way. Both my fiancee’s plank-roasted salmon with green tomato marmalade and an exquisite corn pudding, and my unexpectedly subtle bouillabaisse with saffron-infused broth, were perfect things of their kind. The wine list is smallish but well-chosen, and our server was attentive but low-key. Prices are quite reasonable for the quality. We’ll be back! For us it’s a luxury to live within walking distance, but it really is worth a drive from elsewhere in the region, so don’t hesitate.

Average pizza on a unique crust. Very greasy. Good crab cake appetizer
