It’s ok. Not the best place. Typical Americanize Chinese food
Very quick service and surprisingly good! Will certainly return.
Quite enjoyable. After reading some of the other reviews I decided to go in to this place open-minded. I have not enjoyed a good Chinese dinner since Chin’s Kitchen at Cedar & S. Green closed several years, so spoiled that I was by Sonny’s cooking that I wouldn’t try others.I’m glad we took a shot at Imperial Dragon. The restaurant was clean and open, nicely appointed, and very busy for 6 o’clock on a Friday evening! As for appearance the only thing negative we noticed was the floor below the tables seemed to have accumulated pieces of fortune cookie. As for the food; I had the hot & sour soup, one of my favorites and here was no exception! Great flavor, with a bit of heat, but very good.Dinner was Beef Subgum for me: beef tender, veggies with just a touch of crunch and plenty of toasted almonds, and wonderful flavor. My wife had the Beef Sukiyaki. As with mine, her beer was tender, the flavor full and and quite enjoyable.Neither of us could finish as portions are big enough for a small family. We will go back again, and we”re looking forward to it.
Surprising very good!!!. I had mixed reviews coming here. I had read recent reviews and was not going to come here at all, but friends of mine had talked me into coming with them. They tell me its their favorite Chinese period and would not go anywhere else, I suggested another place, but we ended up at the Imperial Dragon. We first walked in and the place was crazy busy!! I was shocked, I haven’t seen a Chinese restaurant this busy before, people were almost out the door. We didn’t have a reservation and put our names down on the list at the front desk, you should have seen the bags of carry out and the people in line to pick up orders, there must have been over tens orders waiting to be picked up, some were big orders in boxes. so surprised. We went to sit at the bar for drinks as we were waiting for our table, the bar was full of people, what Chinese restaurant has a full bar? We found a chair at the end that one of us sat at, the rest of us stood as we ordered drinks, it did take a while to get a drink, but a gentlemen took care of us, I guess the regular bartender was too busy. I was talking to some people eating at the bar, I asked them what they were eating, it looked really good, they said they order it all the time, it was general chicken. They said they come almost 2-3 times a month, been customers for over 10 yrs, that the food is always great, they said the people who here are wonderful, they must be regulars because the seem the know the bartenders by name. We ordered the Family dinner for 4, it was enough to feed 6. The won ton soup was the best I ever had, very flavorful, it was not salty at all, as one reviewer had mentioned. I had the appetizers, egg rolls were homemade, not frozen from a box. The ribs were meaty and tender. I had the cashew chicken, very good. My friends ordered, sweet and sour pork, hunan beef and kung bo shrimp. Wow, so surprised how good everything was. I liked it better than my regular chinese restaurant I normally go to. It was all piping hot and fresh. I can’t believe what other people wrote in their review. Like night and day, I am glad to have found this place. You have to try it for yourself. With a full house, all those people waiting to get in there and carrying out all those orders can’t be wrong.
Disappointing. Family tradition of going here every New Years day. I live out of state and have only been here a few times. I remember it as OK/Good, but this visit wasn’t even close to that. The wonton soup was so salty as to be almost inedible. Other dishes seemed to be swimming in sauces. I had the moo goo gai pan, something I really like, because I haven’t had it in a while. I should have tried something else. It was incredibly bland and the vegetables were overcooked. Service was ok — nothing outstanding but not bad either. While this is not the worst Chinese restaurant I have eaten at, it is well on the low end of the scale. I would not eat here again, nor would I recommend it.
Do not go here!. My husband and I went here in early November after hearing the good reviews and ad in the movie theatre. It was an awful experience. The hostess (3 of them) were obnoxious in seating us. The server was out for cigarettes and we refilled our own drinks. The food was nasty-including cubed carrots and pea mix for the lettece vegatable wraps and the server brought our food out with her thumbs in it. If you’re going to pay this kind of money to go out, save yourself the heartache and try somewhere else!
Not good. If you are thinking about going here you are better off going somewhere else. the food is bland and very dry. the service is absolutely slow and horrible. some of the food is okay but the wonton soup that i had was terrible. the food is waaaaay overpriced. i am not going back for a long time, very unsatisfied.
