Charge up?!. You gotta be kidding me! You charge more if you ask to substitute an icecream in a sundae! ARE YOU KIDDING? What could POSSIBLY justify that? you had to reach? This is easily the most ridiculous reason to charge up I have ever heard. When all the scoops cost the same but the menu says you chargemore for flavor substitutions…Not going back. That’s just dumb.
Best ice cream place. You cannot top their mint chocolate chip ice cream plus they now have the best pizza in Akron. I stopped buying ice cream in the grocery stores years ago because they sell full half gallon containers of the best ice cream anywhere. Handel’s mint chocolate chip is pathetic in comparison.
What a treat. I love that I can still take my kids to a place that looks the same as it did in the 1940s. And, my favorite -old-fashioned children’s highchairs.
Try something but vanilla and chocolate. Visited 100 ice cream parlors in the US the last 4 years and this is the best! The ice cream with the fruit is worth a 6 hour drive back for! Food good too. Nice to see history preserved.
Nice place and nice service. Ice cream was below par for supposedly being made there. Won’t go again.
The ice cream is good, but the food is crazy over priced, especially considering there are much better Italian places nearby, like Luigi’s.
Blueberry Hill Showboat. Delicious!! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like the marshmallow topping but it was perfect.
