New management doing great job! I am here the second night in a row for dinner. This restaurant should be and deserves to be packed. Alas I eat alone. Great for me! Clean. Great service. Wow food.
Horrible service!!!! I will never eat here again. The buffet was empty but yet they kept bringing fresh food to a private table. There were other paying customers including my self and we were left with scraps on the Buffett . Go down the street . It’s worth the extra mile.
Very disappointed. We have tried this restaurant a few times over the last year and again today for their lunch buffet. There were 6 in our party. In the past the food was fresh and plentiful. Today the rice was a day old and minimal in the serving container. There was no nan available when we got there. We waited for about ten minutes and the items were not refreshed even though we had a large party. We asked the hostess/server and she went to the kitchen to get more. It took several more minutes for them to refresh the items. The amounts brought out were barely enough for our party, and certainly not to cover the other two tables also eating there. There was no concern that not enough food was being prepared and that we had to wait for a buffet- unheard of! They also have a frequent buyer card for the buffets and when it was presented to the server/hostess/cashier she questioned if I had gotten the card at their restaurant because she didn’t recognize the initials on it. Unbelievable! I doubt we will return.
Terrible Food. Today I ate at the Indian Oven buffet. I had eaten there a couple of times for parties and I liked their food. Today I went in as a walk in by myself. I was shocked by the quality of their food. As a South Asian woman, I am very familiar with Indian food. The rice was at least a day old. In addition, the rice pudding was clearly spoiled. After asking about it, the employees agreed the pudding was spoiled, but I had to tell them myself to warn the other customers. And after all of this, I was still required to pay for my meal. I am seriously considering tipping off the health department.
Seriously, Best Indian In Dayton. My wife and I have been to Chaat Cafe, Ajanta (best value), Jeet, and of course Amar (a little much with the decoration.. I feel like I’m at Epcot’s version of an Indian restaurant). But when it comes to the best Indian, this has been the clear winner. The curries are rich and freshly prepared and the naan is roasted with nice little burnt char marks (I’m not sure what magic they have in those clay ovens). The one dish that will clearly have us coming back for more is their Bharta.. The lightly lingering smoky eggplant mixed with creamy cashews is so well balanced, it’s a beautiful thing. For dessert there is a wonderful middle easter market next door where you can get the one and only Shatila from Dearborn Michigan… This is NOT rocket surgery, if you want a unique night out check out Indian Oven.
Over charge. The food in this place is OK, but after lunch, because we didn’t ask for a receipt, they over changed us on credit card. I think the owner is dishonest.
Food Is Amazing. I have been many times to the buffet and it is amazing. The staff is very nice and the food is always hot, delicious, and fresh. I just moved to ohio from atlanta and this restaurant is an amazing treat to any and everyone, especially a new resident to the area because we never know what restaurants are either absolutely superb or horrbile. Two thumbs way up!!!
