We took our parents to Stone Creek last night for their 49th wedding anniversary and while the food was mediocre the service was terrible. We chose Stone Creek because it appeared to be a nice upscale restaurant and was close to where my parents live. My wife and I drove up from Louisville and met my parents at the restaurant where we were greeted by a pleasant receptionist who took us to our table.Once at our table it became a game of waiting and having to constantly ask for basic things like steak knives and refills on our drinks. This was done by flagging other staff down, because our server was never around. Keep in mind this was at 4pm and there was only one other couple in the section we were in. As more customers arrived it became increasingly worse. This may have been acceptable had the food been really good, but it wasn’t. Coupled with the inattentive staff who seemed less than enthused to be at work yesterday it wasn’t a nice dinner for the cost and associated travel time for such a special occasion.In addition, most times when you specifically state that you have selected a restaurant for a special occasion and provide details about the event they will normally at least place something on the table or the staff mentions the special occasion when greeting you. Not Stone Creek, they seemed like it was a burden that we decided to dine there last night. Really disappointed that they put so little effort into customer satisfaction.
