What’s not to like? Start with cheese, end with chocolate and have lobster in between. Great service and great fun. Ask for Ryan as your server!
Rang in the New Year. Celebrated NYE with my husband and really enjoyed it. It was our first experience with fondue, and we had a great time. My husband loved the meat, but I wasn’t into all the work. Cheese and chocolate were my fave, and I could go for just those courses next time around. Will be returning to use the coups we received in our goodie bag.
Bad news. One of the single worst dining experiences I have ever had. Ate there once with friends in a large group a few years ago. Never bothered to go back. Too many other choices in a restaurant-dense part of Cincinnati.
It’s too much work, quite frankly. My son loves this place so chooses it for his special occasions. I wouldn’t mind popping in with the hubs for a romantic dessert and a bottle of wine but dinner isn’t great for me for the price and effort.
Perfect place for a romantic dinner for two. My wife and I love to come here and forget about everything
Costs a fortune to cook your own food. To summarize the environment: it’s dark, smells strange, and is loud. When I went with my girlfriend we actually had a pretty helpful waiter, but the atmosphere was really unappealing. And furthermore, dropping $100+ to cook your own food is ridiculous.Much of what another reviewer below noted is spot on. The cheese tasted purely of alcohol. It was difficult for those of us who do not regularly cook (especially using the fondue method) to determine how long we should leave our food in to cook for.Dessert was probably the highlight of the meal, but even then, I wasn’t really impressed. Okay, so a bunch of different things covered in warm chocolate, great. The Melting Pot survives because of people willing to pay exorbitant prices for experiencing a novelty. The food, which you have to make yourself, is bland and boring. It all comes down to whether the novelty and having an activity to do during dinner is worth paying the same amount as you would at a steakhouse for better food.
The atmosphere was nice and relaxing. The service was excellent. The cheese and chocolate fondue were delicious, however, the main entree which consisted of different meats didn’t taste that great. The portions were small considering the price paid. The restaurant is very pricey but the overall experience was great. Overall, it’s not a restaurant you wanna go to if you wanna come hungry and leave full. However, it’s a great place to try if you wanna enjoy a romantic atmosphere and try different styles of eating.
