I could fix this at home. Went on our anniversary Dec 10th, which was mistake. First time there. Waiter- ok but not so quick with drink refills, I kept having to ration my drink to make sure I didn’t run out because he was not fast and filling them up. we got shrimp cocktail – $6.99. for 5 regular size pieces of shrimp and about 2 tablespoons of shrimp cocktail. So with 2 people it was an odd number and I didn’t feel like it was worth the money. Onion rings were good. house salad dressing was described as oil vinegrette with herbs but it was mostly just oil. I had to add salt just for flavor. For entree I got the chicken Sedona, it was ok but I felt like this was something I could easily make it home. It was chicken with cheese and green and red peppers. my husband got the ribs they were tender and a good portion size but the sauce has some weird aftertaste to it. If anybody remember the old Duff’s smorgasbord that’s about the same kind of stuff that was on his ribs. I’m not a great cook but the food i think I could cook just as well at home and save the money. another customer got a Philly steak sandwich but you looked really good. It was one of the cheaper things on the menu so if you have to go there I wouldnt spend a lot of money its not worth it

She was what made the experience pleasant.The food on the other hand was far from what we expected. The ribs my husband had were mostly fat, very little meat. He liked the baked potato and the bread.I had a steak, although I knew the New York strip wasn’t what I normally order I thought I would try it. The flavor wasn’t bad but the more I ate of it the chewier it got. The twice baked potato was not bad, not something I would order again. All in all, a decent amount of money spent ($57) on a meal that was truly not worth the money. Sorry Buckhorn Tavern but we won’t be back. Thanks anyway.
Enjoyed it. We enjoy eating here every few months. We’ve had decent service everytime. We have tried many different menu items and all has been good. We had an issue with a side dish tasting funny but had it switched with another side item.
Downhill. This place was great in its time but has gone downhill in the past few years. Steaks are not the same quality they once were. Honeslty none of the food really is.
Called in a carryout order on Friday… Nothing complex. Arrived after 20 minutes to pick up, and proceeded to wait another hour while order was assembled. Staff was rude and inept. Suggested they take off something from this triple digit bill only to be told they can’t do that. Customer service at its finest. Live in neighborhood and have been a regular patron for years. Won’t be back!!
Pork Chops were awesome. Everything about the food was done extremely well and the price was very reasonable. The server was very friendly and quick with refills and dishes. It’s my new favorite restaurant even over christophers which I love and is much closer
