I found the food to be OK, but more expensive than expected. Maybe the buffet is decent but we went during dinner time.…

Watered down and not that great. Some items were noticeably spicier than Amar India (down the street and much better). Every dish was extremely watered down. So watered down that my naan was soaked and nasty after a couple minutes. I didn’t enjoy my meal at all and to top things off, I was getting in my car to leave and an employee told me to come back inside. The lady at the counter asked if I paid yet. The way this place is laid out, I thought it was required to pay in advance. $8.55 lunch buffet with water (ice machine broken).Last time I visit this place.
Not bad but not great. The service is excellent and the price is reasonable but the quality is just so-so. It definately beats McDonald’s or other fast food.
The good and the bad. First off let me tell you I am from Bradford in the north of England. Bradford just won the curry capitol of Britain award for the third year in a row. So yes I know what a good curry tastes like. The good. The samosas were excellent. Fresh, huge and great value for money. The lamb curry was very good, the sauce was on par with the best I have had. The naan bread was good. The rice was good, a little clumpy but still ok.The bad. Chicken Tikka Masala or not. More like shredded chicken in cream. I have never seen shredded chicken in tikka masala, never. The sauce was overpowered with cream. Sorry guys this needs some work.Would I go back? sure I will. I will have a better idea of what to order and what not to order. As for the restaurant itself there is no authenticity at all, so eat in or take out would be the same to me.
So many delicious choices!! Authentic Northern or Southern Indian, plus some surprise menu features. Lots of delicate flavors and spice that is more than just heat. Very friendly staff, and I learned that they make everything fresh. Everything!
My favorite is chicken tikka masala & chicken curry. Yum Yummiii. Please open up a location in the Hilton Head area.
Amazing menu of items from all over India. The Samosas are awesome. The lunch buffet while a good value and opportunity to sample dishes you can’t pronounce is not the same quality as ordering an entree made for you. Perhaps it is cooking in those quantities or the time sitting on the steam table. Things on the buffet lack the ‘spark’ that the fresh prepared items have. The spice level scale is 1-5 and 5 is a bit zippy, but I like even more heat than that. They will make even hotter if you ask, as the owner enjoys extreme spice also. I normally ask to kick my curry up to a 7 by their measurements and it is VERY good to me. They also have bottles of the red pepper powder out in the dining room to liven up your buffet or eat-in meal also.
