Meh. Best part of the entire experience was pasta in the piada (sandwich wrap/burrito thing). I would have never thought of this concept. Otherwise, the food was bland. The mozzarella was fresh, but disappointing. It had no flavor. It was basically a chewy white ball of nothing. The tomato based sauces were disappointing. I did not try the Alfredo. The artichokes were tasty, but not worth the trip. Also, this place is loud. So loud you could not hear any of the employees explain anything. I’m not hard of hearing, but had to ask 4 times what the employee was saying. The seating area was only 1/2 full, but the sound level was deafening. The employees were very friendly, and the food was of decent quality (as far as I could tell) but the food was not worth the trip.
Wish there were more of these!. Liked Piada a lot more than I thought. Met a friend there for lunch and apparently times it perfectly when the line was only half-filling the entire side wall (it was out the door the entire time we were eating). Pricier than your average fast-food or deli lunch, but not by much, and much better quality food. I’ve always liked Chipotle’s concept, but not a huge burrito eater – and I’d always said it would work just as well with Italian fare. It does! To boot, they have Bellinis and wine by the carafe for only $5!
Great Food Great Value. This restaurant does for Italian what Chipotle does for Mexican. It’s pseudo-fast food but with high quality ingredients and great value. For approx. $7.99 you can get a bowl of pasta customized in an infinite number of ways. The portion size is great, the quality is great and the flavors are great. What’s not to like?I desperately hope they decide to open a few in Cincinnati. It would be a huge hit here.
Awesome!. This place is serving up some seriously good food. Service is of the fast casual variety, a la Chipotle, where they fix right in front of you. The atmosphere is very reminiscent of chipotle, as well. They have options for my vegetarian brethren, as well as various meats. Here’s a link to the menu; it’s more concise than I am: http://www.mypiada.com/ourmenu.aspxI will be returning soon. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!
Very filling and verrrrry reasonably priced! So many delicious choices! It’s a MUST TRY!! 🙂
$5 bowl special. Tried grilled chicken with basil pesto bowl last nite, very fresh and tasty. A little light on the pesto, but enough left over for dinner tonite!
I ate there tonite and had a chicken piada bowl LOADED with pasta and tons of veggies. The meat was seasoned and not to salty, the sauces were amazing ( I chose the red pepper pesto and skinny vin ), and veggies were fresh as a spring day! Hooked!!
