We had them carter my aunts funeral. They are very professional. From taking the call from out of state to place the order to set up to clean up they gave great service. We opted to have one of their staff man the food table and they kept the table looking great the whole time. The food is good and you don’t feel like you are getting grocery store deli quality. I would definitely recommend them for catering. Unfortunately I did not have the opportunity to have a meal in their restaurant.

Rude service. We showed up at 3:03 on Mother’s Day and we were refused service. The last seating was at 3pm. I will never eat there. In addition they were extremely rude. Apparently, the chef couldn’t provide soup and salad. Maybe they need a new chef!!!12 May, 2014Horrible service. We showed up at 3:03 on Mother’s Day and the hostess refused to seat us. They said that the last seating was at 3pm. They checked with the chef and he would not accept our order. I explained that I was picking my kids up from college and we wanted soup and salad. I have eight more years of educating my kids in the area and will never eat there. They were so rude.
I’d go back. This is a surprisingly nice restaurant in the middle of nowhere. We wanted to stop on the way to Cincy to have a decent dinner and by chance found the Alcove. Four of us had the steak special which was delicious and reasonably priced. The hostess and our server could not have been more friendly even though we arrived within an hour of closing. I would recommend this restaurant to others and will definitely go back when we travel that way again.
Great Food. The Alcove has some great food. I just checked this place out, certainly comparable to many large city restaurants. If you are ever that direction, worth checking out. Prime Rib was GREAT!
Great spinache and artichoke dip, not too heavy, lots of spinache. Just make sure to tell them to go easy on the pasta sauce!
Not bad for a small town. If you don’t want to drive all the way to Columbus for fine dining, it’s a good alternative with a seasonal menu of classics and some wonderfully original creations!
