This place is a hidden diamond. Luckily I saw the best of Cincinnati signs in their window as I drove pass or I would of never had the luxory of tying their food. They smoke their meats 8 hours every night, and you can really tell when you bite into those moist meats! First time I went they were sold out of the brisket and pork so I had to get the half chicken… It was wonderful! Since then I have been back to try the briscket and the barbeque pork sandwiches and they were also incredible. The chicken is actually still my favorite because I love dipping it in their very unique tasting barbeque sauce. They also serve chili with brisket in it which was delicious. I have yet to try Eli’s BBQ, but my girlfriend has and she says Just Q’in has much better food, but not as good of a atmosphere as Eli’s.
Great little find. I agree with some that there isn’t enough smokiness in the meat, but the rub used is very good, esp on the brisket. Sauce is just ok. Baked beans are really good. The menu needs simplified and organized, and maybe printed out to take home. I don’t mind the religious overtone – it’s their store, and it’s better than a lot of others!
