Best hamburger. Love love love this place. Have been going here for years. Get a cup of chili and hamburger with sweet potato fries……you’ll love it!
Poor service. Food is pretty good, and they have a laid back atmosphere. Bad experience ordering over the phone using online menu. They charged 30% more than what was advertised when I picked up my order. They would not provide refund or accept responsibility for their false advertising. This was dishonest and unprofessional.
Awesome. Great dining experience, new menu. Try the Chili, Fish, generally all good and reasonably priced.
The worst burger ever…. Ate there on 3/16/2013 a day I will not soon forget started out great until me and my wife ate here something simple because we had never eaten here before so got house special burger and fry right so we left got home and about ten minutes away and my burger was not done and my fry,s was cold really just lost a customer for life thanks for no effect from you or your and your kitchen staff
Went to Main Street Cafe today for lunch and it was just eh. The burger was ok, something like you would get at the local vfw cookout. The bun was soggy and they charged me $4 for about 15 bottom of the bag sweet potato fries which was a ripoff! My pint of Mt Carmel beer was a semi steep $5. This place was homy but got very loud quickly with the servers banging plates frequently (although the service was good) and the scooting around of chairs on the hardwood floors. Decent meal but i wont be running back there anytime soon.
Overpriced. Food was okay, but way overpriced
Main Street Cafe One Great Hamburger. Great homey restaurant with good food, good drinks and a great staff. I believe the owners son owns Zips in Hyde Park. My wife and I enjoy going there for sweet potato fries a great hamburger with a few beers/wine. A very friendly atmosphere!
