Had a take-out lunch from here when we first moved here. Delicious food, and definitely the best dine-in Mexican restaurant that we’ve tried in the Canton area. One curious (if not annoying) issue with this place is that there are but a few dishes available with rice and beans together. The customer must choose between one or the other, which I must say I find quite odd. Still, ordering a side order is a small price to pay for delicious Mexican food at this restaurant.

While I was not expecting authentic Mexican, I was expecting Americanized Mexican. The menu reflects the later, but the food is particularly distasteful. I found it greasy at worst and flavorless at best. I am still confused about the lack of flavor. I have been 4 times (as you know, Wooster lacks diversity in it’s food selection). I have given El Campesino a fair try; I will not return. Update: the new Mexican restaurant on Cleveland is much better. I hope that this competition will prompt El Campesino to increase the quality of their food.
The best Mexican restaurant in the area in my opinion. Great food, portions, salsa, pricing, and service.
