I had the orange chicken this evening. For $5.99 I expect a decent amount of chicken, instead I received about 8 slightly larger than standard chicken nugget size pieces on top of a mound of rice. The taste was slightly above average but the value is horrible. Everytime I try something besides a salad here I end up disappointed.

A great place with great food. Great food: Cornerstone features good coffee, a salad bar with dozens of ingredients, wonderful sandwiches, great soups, fresh sushi, and good chinese-american dishes.Good value: I’ve been going to Cornerstone for nearly seven years and though the prices have gone up, it has remained a favorite place to grab a bite. The staff is usually very nice and helpful and it’s a great place to meet up with a friend or study. What to get: The small salad is generally just enough to feed you but you can get a bigger salad if you want. If you’re really hungry, you can get a small salad with a half sandwich and a drink now for about $8. The sushi is made when you order it and tastes like it.Bottom line: Local dive providing fresh food at a good value, satisfying those who love sandwiches, salads, and soups as well as decent pan-asian food.

Not much on ambience. It’s…..okay. It’s odd, it used to be a drop-in bagel cafe and has not been remodeled. The vegetarian options are plentiful. Seem to use a lot of throwaway styrofoam. The Herbivore wrap packs a spicy punch. Has miso soup regularly. The take-out menu is not entirely caught up with the store menu, and there are some items listed by the front door that are not on either menu….so I’d recommend asking if you think they might have it. Hard to pin down their menu. Rumor that it’s owned by Ying’s Teahouse owner. If you find yourself shopping around N. Broadway & High in Clintonville, you’ll do fine eating a quick lunch here.
