I don’t see it. I have lived in the ‘Ville most of life and I always WANTED to like Dante’s, but the pizza is always lacking. I usually go there once every two years, thinking it will be better, but it never is. I want to support a local business…but Adriaticos, Gatto’s and Pizza House are not much further away and the product is better.
Great pizza, great subs, great service. If you want a nice neigborborhood pizza shop that is high quality, this is the place. It still has panel and 1980s bud lite lights! I love everything about Dante’s and it makes me feel like I am back in my little hometown pizza place! All they need is a pin ball machine and it would be perfect!!!
I love Dante’s!! My best friend and I lived in Chicago for years. More often than not, you eat thin crust vs. stuffed. This as close to Chicago’s regular pizza as you will find.
Best pizza in Columbus. IMO, this is the best pizza in Columbus. Tommy’s is a close second. My only criticism of Dante’s is that they use canned mushrooms instead of fresh. That aside, the pizza is amazing. A couple of notes – they are closed on Sundays and accept cash and checks only.
Good food. This place is tiny but the workers are very friendly and the food is good. No frills here but it works for me and I will keep coming back.
Best Thin Crust in Columbus. It doesn’t get much better than Dante’s Pizza. We usually just get a classic pepperoni. The crust is crispy and delicious. My only complaint is sometimes the larger pizzas gets a bit soggy in the middle. You will be fighting over the pieces around the edge for sure though. They do have other things on the menu, but I have never wanted to get anything other than pizza and salad. Salad is simple but fresh, pretty standard for take-out places.Dining room is modest and homely, but comfortable, and service is very friendly. Dine-in service isn’t the fastest, but if you are in good company, it’s never been long enough wait to be a problem. Call ahead if you are on a schedule. Also, tastes great cold the next day!
This place rocks! Call and order ahead for exponentially faster service.
