HORRIBLE customer service. They made error- gave me spring rolls w meat, I ordered vegetarian. Discovered when eating 1st roll last night, two bites in… It was late, I didn’t feel like leaving house again. I called restaurant next day, informed them of error. I told them I would be in later to get 3 vegetable spring rolls. Presented to restaurant w 3 rolls. He pulled a piece out of bag, looked at it, tossed it back in bag, turned to kitchen and he shouted order for 3 vegetable spring rolls. No apology for the error, the inconvenience. Order up, he puts it on the counter, turns his back to me. No apology. No respect for my time, nor my business. I will not return.

As far as Chinese food it doesn’t get any better than the Golden House. Their chicken wings can easily compete with Popeyes and KFC. Very fast and accurate ordering. This place is a gem disguised as a lump of coal… Its in the hood, and the owners don’t care to spend a dime on decorations, building upkeep, heat and air conditioning, or even divider lines in the parking lot. But aside from that, they serve great food w/hefty portions, they have fairly quick cooking times, and the food is dirt cheap for the quality. You may have to ask the staff to repeat themselves several times during a single transaction, but its totally worth it in the end.
I’ve been to a lot of Chinese restaurants in Columbus. This place however really surprised me, mainly due the fact it was low-key in the hood (next to the old flee market up at Northern Lights). The Kung Bao Chicken had a lot of flavor more so than anyplace else I’ve tried so far. Also had a nice spicy kick to it unlike most dumbed down Kung Bao. I also got Crab Rangoon which delicious. The egg roll was alright I guess for a egg roll, wasn’t to impressed with it like the main meal.
THE BEST!!!. I love this place. At first I doubted it because of the location – BIG MISTAKE! Being new to the area I tried tons of Chinese places before I found this winner. Nothing else here compares. The prices are low and you get GENEROUS portions! My favorite is the General Tso’s chicken and Crab Ragoon! YUM!
