Pizza opinions are like you know what, everybody has one. For twelve years Plank’s Cafe had the best pizza in Columbus. Right before The Fetching Mrs. Rat and I made the move north from German Village, the young cat who made the pies at Plank’s moved on to culinary school. The pizzas were not quite the same but still the best in Columbus. Obviously after moving north TFMR and I needed a new go to pizza place. Having eaten Grandad’s in Grandview a couple of times we tried Grandad’s on Morse. We were not disappointed. In the thirteen years ordering from here we have never had a bad pizza. I decided to review Grandad’s due to some negative reviews here on other sites. Tonight we ordered two large pies. One half bacon and mushroom and half pepperoni and mushroom. The other pie was the works, green pepper, mushroom, pepperoni, sausage and onion. As usual, everything was fantastic. Steve was his usual grouchy self. Once I gave him my phone number, it was hello Mr. Rat, we got the usual $2 off our order. Just for the record, some clown claimed that Grandad’s was racist in a review. Tonight there were three cats of color in the kitchen and one writing this review. I’m sure that the four of us don’t cotton to that view.Again pizza opinions are like you know what, everybody has one. And mine is the one you should heed.

Need someone better taking phone calls!!!. We were in Columbus Ohio this past weekend for an art show. We tried to order a pizza Saturday night once we returned to our hotel. I had to repeat my cell phone number 7 times before he got it right and had to spell my last name 8 times and he still didn’t have it right! Our granddad pizza money went to Pizza Hut instead! Seriously, if you have to repeat anything more than twice, that employee should not be answering the telephone.
Very good. This is a great place to get pizza from. One of my favorites.And to the person complaining about the poor phone experience: Yeah, it seems like there’s one dick that answers the phone once in a while. Usually the other guys that answer are great, but I got the jerk once too. It was the same thing, kind of like he didn’t want my business. Usually they are great though.
Bad customer service. Just got off the phone from trying to order a pizza, guy was seriously unhelpful. I asked about specials, to be told there were none. I asked if i could use a coupon from their website, and was told the website coupons were only good at their grandview location. (who refuses to take a coupon for another store? I’ve worked a few pizza joints, i’ve never seen that happen.) He didn’t seem at all interested in my business, so i took it to antolino’s down the street instead.Too bad, we’ve had good pizza here before, but i doubt i’ll bother ordering from them again.
