My son and I were traveling and saw the good reviews for Yannis, so we decided to stop and have lunch. The restaurant is located in a strip mall. We arrived at the small restaurant about 1pm on Friday. We were seated immediately. Our server got our drink order put in an order for fried calamari ($7.95). The calamari came quickly and were perfectly crispy and delicious. We both ordered the large gyros sandwich ($5.50) we also each got a side of fries as well. Everything was very good! Our server was funny and accommodating. My only complaint is I believe we may have been overcharged… our bill was $36 which seems high for the fries and drinks. We did not question the bill while we were there, so I am not sure. On a separate check as we were paying we got some pastries to take with us. We purchased a large baklava, a chocolate baklava and two almond cookies. I can’t wait to try them later on.
