Good BBQ. One of the better bbq joints in the area!
Sides done right…. As good as the smoked meats are here the sides really make a meal here comforting, amazing and delicious. The spice of the greens, the smooth creamy sweetness of the corn pudding, the flavor of the fries with skins still on (a spash of vinegar sets them off), meaty flavor in the green beans, chunks of meat in the baked beans… these and the other sides all round out a truly delicious meal. The basic pulled pork sandwich is only $5.99 and piled high with well smoked pork. The brisket is only $6.49. Add two of their sides for an additional $2.99.
First time eating here. Got the city sampler platter with baked beans and cornbread as sides. The pulled pork and turkey were my favorite on the platter. The sausage and brisket were excellent as well. The Texas toast and baked beans were awesome and I loved the mustard based sauce not that any of the meat needed it. Will definitely be a repeat customer here!
Outstanding food – consistent and reliable!
Always great. I have eaten inside and had carry-out about 6 times. All 6 times 100% great. One of the few places I can’t say anything bad about it other than they need more locations. Tip: if you order carry out near closing time you can get hooked up on extra meats and sides. (if they want to because you are a regular)
Good but not Great. This was my first time having City BBQ, and although I thought it was tasty, it was nothing special to me. Their pulled pork is juicy and not dry, and goes well with the tangy bbq sauce I got on the side. I would recommend this, but only because I haven’t had any other bbq in the Columbus area. Being from Kentucky, there’s some stiff competition!
Awesome BBQ. Just what I was craving. And they have free W-Fi & Diet Dew. What more could you want? Two sandwich platters and large drinks came to about $22.
